Purchase orders - printing labels only for products that have arri

Here's my suggestion to MS...

A great addition to RMS would be to bring back the ability to print labels for items in a purchase order based on the quantity you are currently receiving. Here's what I mean...

If you have an item on a PO and you order 6 of them and the manufacturer ships 2 and then backorders 4 it will be very easy to print out the 2 labels using the RTD quantity option. However, when the 4 backordered items show up and need lables, the only way to set the quantity to 4 is manually. Now this is not a big deal for small orders, but it would save a huge amount of time on larger more complex orders.

Another situation where this would be nice is similar to my first example but pertains to individual items. Say I have a large order (100 line items) and product shows up for only 25 of those line items. Again, it is not a big deal to print labels at this point using the RTD quantity feature. However, when the other 75 items show up, you must manually add each of these items to the label queue which is time consuming.

It gets really complicated and time consuming when you have a situation where you encounter both of my examples.

In ANY receiving situation where you need to print lables for only the product that has actually arrived, if you had a "Current Receivd Quantity" feature you could print the correct amount of labels by adding all labels to the queue and then setting the quantity to ""Current Received Quantity". 2 clicks and you're done!

The ability to print labels based on the quantity currently being received was available on the old QS2000 by printing labels before you comit the product (there was a "quantity received" option for label quantity).

It would be nice to see this feature come back!
