Receipt Print Problems...

I'm having a very hard time coming to grips with the problem I am having.

I defined printer 1 to be a 40 column printer on paper that is 2.825 inches wide. For some reason the POS is printing about 50 columns from what I can see.

Now what's interesting is when I print to a full size page on a brother laser printer it cuts off the left side. When I print to the Star SP500 it cuts off the right side. I've uploaded the images becaue a picture can make this much easier to see.

Have a look and see if you can explain to me how I fix this? It's a total kicker for me.

Thanks,

Rex

Rex, try looking at the receipt properties. open manager select database select registers select receipt formats select your 40 column printer select properties select sales select properties

check all the margin & Cpl fields

Copy down what you have, incase you have to put it back.

Change them and save and see what happens!

My notes for an Star Micronics SP500;

**********************************************************************************

Assuming you are using 3" wide paper.

RMS Settings;

Set paper width to 2.45

0 on both left and right margins.

Small font = 10 Normal CPL = 40 Large CPL = 30 Reverse to False

Printer Driver Settings;

General tab Paper size = 63 * Receipt

Print Options tab Drawer 1 = Document Top

******************************************

The reason it doesn't print properly on your laser printer is because of the

0 margins. Most lasers require a minimum of .25 top, bottom, left, right margins. You didn't give it a margin, so it cut it off on the left.

This had almost no affect.
