When you say move the XML file from your server to your local computer do you mean just copying the file or actually loading the XML into your database? I'm pretty sure the XML needs to be loaded into the table called Exchange in the database. This will allow them to pull up when you hit ctrl+shift+F10.

Thanks for the reply - I have no trouble getting it from the server to local computer - but not sure what to do with it now - when i do that keystroke - is looking for a server to connect to - not sure how to configure it... seems that I have to load that data manually into the Exchange db like you said, but cant find any help on how/where to do it...

When you say that the POS is looking for a server it sounds like you are hitting shift + ctrl + F12 (RMSNet). When you hit shift + ctrl + F10 it pops up a window titled "Open Internet Orders".

The XML file needs to be inserted into the exchange table. Some of the formatting is very specific. One thing that really threw me off is that 'YahooStore' has to be specified for the ProcessorCode. I don't use a Yahoo store but I couldn't get the XML data to be recognized if I used any other string for the ProcessorCode. As far as I'm concerned it's a meaningless piece of data so it's no problem to use 'YahooStore'.

You can automate the downloading and importing of the XML file from your web server to your RMS server by using a scheduled script to ftp down the file and run a sql statement to insert the data into the exchange table. The only manual part should be having a cashier click shift + ctrl + F10 to load an order.

we have a rms integrated solution that readily takes a preformatted XML to the Exchaneg table and from there you can do Ctrl + Shift + F10 and process order in POS.
