Good evening! (Or morning/afternoon where appropriate)
We're looking for the ability to easily create, modify, and review work orders in a repair environment. We rely heavily on Work Orders in RMS to keep up with repairs in our computer repair bay. Unfortunately, RMS's implementation of this is clunky to say the least, and I definately get the feeling Work Orders were not designed to be used in this context. Does anyone have any advice/opinions on how to more easily achieve this?
Typically, a customer's broken system is enteres as a work order. Whenever a technician does something to the system, they add a "comment" sku that is valuated at $0.00. They then CTRL F10 to add a comment to the "comment" sku while manually entering the date and time, and their name (so we know who does what). As I stated earlier, this is VERY clunky, and also shows "COMMENT" as our top selling item *smirk*
I cannot be the only person who uses RMS that needs better work order functionality. I've yet to locate any addons that would work either.
