We are also running into it for one of our customers. We are using HP computers and peripherals and think the issue is in one of the drivers, maybe the cash drawer. Any insight?

In case anybody else has this issue, we isolated it to HP Printer Drivers. Changing the drivers to operate in "Native Mode" has fixed the issue so far.
