Is there a way to just do an override for certain transaction opposed to logging out and in?
I.E. Regular cashier is not allowed to discount items, so we have to hit F9 (Secure) then a manager has to login perform the discount, hit F9 again, then the cashier has to log back in and finish the transaction.
It would be better, nicer, and easier if the cashier initiates the discount, a screen would pop up to prompt for a manager level "override" since the cashier is not authorized to do this (in other words an approval for this particular action only) while still leaving the cashier logged in. After the override the manager can just walk away without having to log out and the cashier having to log back in, since the manager never logged in to start with, but only approved a (discount) action. This is the way it's done in quite a few other POS systems (like Micros etc.)
Is there an add on or work around available for this?
