When running in Terminal Offline Mode does the client need to have the license dongle attached to the machine? If not then the program would run in Eval mode, and then how is the main database updated?

That's a good question... say you have register computer with dongle, and POS/manager/admin and a server with database and Admin/Manager
computer A would have to have dongle (1 user) to connect to the data, and z out , to establish the offline database...
if computer A then disconnects from the server, and tries to launch the pos, it will go offline, but would the dongle have to be present? Does computer A know to check itself before launching -- you would think that was the function of the server, since any computer could have the dongle and be the first POS up and running...
hmmm..

Why not just try it and see? Instead of having other folks do your homework? It won't take you but a few minutes, I mean perhaps less time than it took me to write this.... mt
If anybody wants the full answer here is my email and I will send you the documents that I have explaining how "terminal offline mode" actually works.
