could not do Z report after offline

Hi,
My register went offline, when it was online again and it popped up the
message for synchronization. I did synchronize it show OK but at the end of
the day we could not do Z report. Message said that we could not doing
Zreport because we are in offline mode. Although the connection b/t server
and register OK and also the offline mode disappeared after we synchronize
the data when restart POS.
It is also strange that everytime the POS launch it pops up the message for
synchronize again.
Anyone know what problem could be? It would be very appreciated for any
help.

HI guy, first of all are you using the RMS 1.3 version it was appearing to me also then after investigation it is found it is due to dongle, rememeber to install the dongle to any POS machine so this problem won't encounter. the second thing you said that you are in offline and wanted to perform the Z-Report I would say you can't do so, becuase you must be online to perform Zout. so log off system, then check your connection to database and network and then connect to POS again the system automatically goes to online and move all transaction which perform in offline mode to your real database. this is how the system works. check these and let me know if you are still facing problem.

You are logging into windows as a non administrator. When you return from Off-line mode, RMS is supposed to flip a switch in the registry that tells the system that it is no longer off-line. if you are not a windows administrator, this doesn't happen correctly. Don't ask me why it's able to set the flag in the first place if it can't unset it... This can be fixed by allowing limited users toedit the registry, but again you must log in as Administrator to do this...
At this point, you should probably contact your reseller for help, or open an incident with MS Tech Support.

Thank you Glenn, Yes I am able to sync when login as administrator. Do you know how to set users able to do Z report without Windows administrator permission?
