Version Mismatch Resolution

I had someone transfer my RMS from my old computer(Win 98) to a new one(XP Pro). It was set up on the same wireless network as the previous computer. The other computer in the network runs XP Pro.

Now I'm getting an error message when I try to open my database on the new computer. /Version Mismatch - The current database is of version 1.20, while this application requires 1.09. Please run the Store Operations Administrator to correct this problem./ I finally got into Administrator, but I can't find anything that tells me how to fix this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like the reinstall was done from some VERY old CDs. Open SO Administrator and check the Version shown by Help/About.

I would uninstall first, but there's probably very little difference.

Joy! Uninstall, reinstall and fixing the configuration of the database in administrator worked. Just getting a pesky message - Warning 941-the copy protection device is missing on this register. Do you want to continue.- I just hit yes and it allows access to my database. By the way this is the back office computer...not the POS register.

Thank you very much for your help

SO Administrator, File/Configuration, Register Tab. Change the register number to something other than 1... You should first create a register record for the back office system in SO Manager - Database/Registers/Register List
