WASP OPOS functionality with RMS

I am having problems with a Wasp System (especially the WCD5000 cash drawer). At first, I got everything working (display, printer, and cash drawer functioning) but had issues with the RMS database. I reinstalled RMS and it hang on entry. I uninstalled both Wasp OPOS and RMS, cleaned out all directories and registry items relating to both and reinstalled both RMS and OPOS (and reconfigured both). All devices (display, printer, and cashdrawer) function with the Wasp OPOS test device function. Now, my printer and pole display function properly but the cash drawer will not open within RMS. RMS will hang if I continue to try to open and close it with the cash drawer checked in RMS. If I do not check the OPOS for cash drawer in RMS it never hangs; however, the cash drawer will not function then. The same them happened on all four of the registers I setup. Do you have a cleanup utility that removes all traces of the Wasp OPOS program? I am using the brand new (right out of the box) version 1.3 with no service pack. According to Microsofts website version 1.3 does not have any service packs. Also, the Wasp display displays 2222 after the boot info displays and stays on the screen until RMS scrolls off the 2's.

Richard,

1.3 was released Dec. 1, so no service packs yet!

Wasp equipment has been discussed here a few times. The consensus is/was to contact Wasp directly as they are the ones who claim/certify RMS compatibility. I think I remember a post claiming the need to download the latest OPOS drivers from the Wasp website, as the ones that come with the devices are old.

Richard,

Did they say when they would have a fix?
