What's wrong with parallel printers?
Tom
First, for future reference: more detail is always better. What printer? What cash drawer? What drivers? OPOS vs. Windows printing? You get the idea.
Do you have a printer-triggered cash drawer and a parallel printer? Are they from the same vendor? Most cash drawer-triggering printers are serial or USB (Serial being the operative portion of that acronym).
I use a serial cash drawer (triggered directly from RMS, not connected to the printer) and Windows printing. I'm not using parallel printers right now, but I can and have with no trouble at all.
Parallel printers and RMS are not mutually exclusive.

I'll bet it's an Epson TM-88III or TM-88IV. It sure looks like it...
You might try the drivers found here:

It looks like WASP offers a bundled system and is unlikely to support your attempt to transition their hardware to a competing software system.
Good luck, Tom

I have not figured out how to make the pole display work, but I was able to get the printer to print using a generic text driver and get the cash drawer to open using a code in the printer setup.
