sqlexpress not so express

I am trying to install a new computer to share my data on. I have installed sqlexpress on all my machines. I have renamed the new computer to match the old one and am I am able to connect locally But i am not able to share the database. Is there a way that I can back up the SQL configuration from the old machine and restore onto this new computer? If not what might i be doing wrong?

Thanks

Tony

SQL 2005 Express installs with remote connections turned off. This is a security feature. To enable remote connections, open SQL Sever Surface Area Configuration (Start/Programs/Microsoft SQL Server

2005/Configuration Tools). The surface area config tool describes what you need to do to enable remote connections pretty well. You will also need to install the Backward Compatibility components on any remote systems that don't have their own copy of SQL Express installed - you can find these by searching for Feature pack for SQL Server.
