Assigning Standard Discounts to Customers in QB basic ??

May 05, 2005 3 Replies

We sell our products retail, to wholesalers and to retail outlets...

Each gets a different discount

How can we assign custom discounts to various customers???

or must we create a discount item for each discount and then have to remember which customer gets which?

thanks for any help - tmb

It may be time for you to hire a QB consultant or perphaps the good folks at this newgroup will continue to answer hundreds of your newbe questions. The is such a thing as taking advantage.

Hi

Use the Price Level feature available in versions QuickBooks Pro and higher. Edit a Customer and click on the additional info tab. In the 'Price Level' field click on add new. Select each item and adjust the price level as per your needs.

Victor,

Thank you for your kind assistance.

We have QuickBooks Basic. I will check on upgrading.

I don't think the price will be the issue... but weather or not we can upgrade with out trashing the stuff we have already entered into Quick Books basic.

thanks again - tmb
