You shouldn't. Just be sure you have the License and Product numbers. The Intuit knowledge base states you will need those, and the zip code and phone number entered in the original install.

Yes of course. Every question you are unwilling, unable or unequipped to google or research on your own has been purposefully inserted by Intuit as a ploy for *your* dollars in tech support.

Try a CTRL-1 and see if that screen brings up any pertinent info.

I don't know if you use the payroll/tax-table service. But, if you do not, and you are relying on the one-time tax table download that came with the software, I don't think you will get the one-time tax table again if you re-install the software.

You will not, hence the term one-time.

I think Intuit should have a system that enables users to download and save the tax table update file that is run when they first install the program. That way, if the computer crashes and the program needs to be re-installed, or if someone later buys a newer computer and wants to re-install the program, the initial tax table update that came with the program could still be run (from the original downloaded file).

They don't because they assume their customers are thieves.

I will pass your suggestion on to the boys and girls of Intuit. I'm sure they will slap themselves upside their heads for not thinking of that.
