If you want a report similar to the statment then why not just print a statement?

Don't have 2005, but in 2003 there is a checkbox on the create statements window for including 'All open transactions as of Statement Date". Is it possible that you have checked that box, and that previous months do not show because they are paid? Also, there is an additional option for "Do not create statements:" that includes 'with a zero balance'. Do you have that checked? Just some thoughts.....
