quick upgrade question

I'm moving from QBPro 08 to 11 and I'm assuming all I have to do is create a full back up, uninstall the software from both computers (I have a 2 license version), install the new version on one, restore from the backup, set it to share and then install on the other computer and I'm done...

Is there anything I'm forgetting?

After restore, perhaps there will be a company file reconfiguration or version upgrade to correspond with the new version/year of QB?

By "set it to share", you mean to allow the other QB installation access to the company file through normal Windows file sharing? As I see it, if only one person will be in the company file at a time, then you are done.

If more than one will be in the file at once, then set the file to multi- user mode and you may have to install the database manager on the system hosting the company file.

You may infer from the above that I am not 100% confident in my response as I only have experience with Premier on a hosting server with Pro's connecting to it.

Thanks! The only snag I ran into was that all the users knew their passwords but no one remembered their user names since quickbooks autocompletes this every time you log in... we eventually worked it out but I really thought we were in trouble for a second there...
