We are using PT 2003 and are looking to upgrade to PT Premium 2006, along with getting a new computer.
Is the proper procedure to install Premium on the old computer, do a backup, install it on the new computer, and then do a restore?
Are there likely to be any compatibility problems doing the upgrade?
That method will work.
You can also just install Premium on the new computer and restore a backup made with 2003. Premium will convert the 2003 data to 2006 without any problems. It will convert it to 2004 then 2005 and finally 2006.
