QuickBooks Tax Tables - Are they avaiable free or low cost?

Aug 10, 2006 10 Replies

Hi,

I have QuickBooks 2002. I have never used the payroll before but am now self-employed and looking to update the tax tables but don't want to subscribe to a payroll service at $199 a year.

Is there some way to update the tax tables for free or one low cost fee?

Thanks, Lehava Ent.

Of course not, the entire point of SlowBooks is to separate you from your hard earned money.

Self-employed? Are you incorporated? Do you have employees working for you?

Allan, the OP asked about 2002 and payroll tax tables. Admit it, you blew it.

Blew what? I asked two simple questions. If the OP's answer were no to each then tax tables are moot.

Perhaps not, Allan's question are relevant in that the full payroll may not be required. If it is going to be salary only payroll, it is easy enough to figure those out once and enter them each week. On the other hand if they are going to be doing any type of hourly pay, you are correct and '02 will have to be dumped. Not trying to be a stickler either, but the OP might find answering those questions useful.

The OP didn't ask how do I calculate them by hand which is what both you and Allan seem to want him to do ...

Did you read my "On the other hand" in there? I stated both what Allan said and what you said. I hardly picked sides and said that I wanted him to calculate by hand. I merely said that Allan's questions were relevant seeing as the OP was not specific in the least.

My concern is that the OP may not even require payroll therefore tax tables are irreverent.

Yep, that is why I agreed originally that your question was relevant and that you didn't "blow it."

Also, I'm not sure you were going for irreverent in that last post, maybe irrelevant? Unless of course you think those tax tables are snide, no_spam may agree with you there.
