Send Invoices Through Eudora instead of Outlook Express (QB-2008)

Two Months in a row now I have accidentally sent out my invoices through Eudora Email rather than Outlook Express which is what I actually wanted to do anyway so I guess I found a bug in the system.

What I did was open Outlook Express and then went to Tools/Options/Make Default and then clicked Apply and OK. Then, without closing Outlook I selected Send Batch from the first invoice and they all when to Eudora and started going out. In the mean time Eudora popped up a box and said some other program made itself the default mail program and did I want to make Eudora Default and I selected "no" but the 35 invoices were already on there way. Last month the same thing happened but I could not remember what I had done so I did not post it here.

Two months ago they want out through Outlook Express but I think I had closed it before sending so that both Outlook and Eudora were closed. I don't know why it worked then and not the next two times unless it was because I did not close Outlook Express but I'm not complaining. I only installed Outlook Express for sending Invoices from QuickBooks 2008. I just thought I would post this in case others wanted to play around and see if it acts the same on their machine. I'm using WinXP as well.

I don't have time to keep trying it over and over to find a way to MAKE it do what I want. But I'll let you know next time it happens. If I get time later this week I'll play around with it to see if I can find some consistency ____ _ | __\_\_o____/_|

John,

It sounds like you're having a couple of issues with sending out invoices via email? (Sorry if you gave more detail in a previous post and i missed it) You might be interested in our free application, billFLO. It integrates with quickbooks and is a custom interface for managing the sending of invoices via email. The way we go about creating and emailing the invoice, from a technical perspective, is very different. It's proven more robust in terms of creating the pdf consistently and sending the email.

We'd love to get your feedback on it -
