Setting Up a Payroll Reminder

We're on a monthly IRS payroll tax deposit schedule. So when the month ends, we have a payable to IRS which is due by the 15th of the following month. I haven't been able to get this payable to appear on the reminder list using edit | preferences | reminders.

Is there a trick?

Did you check off the correct items in the company preferences tab of the reminders properties?

I checked all and to be sure set the dates to 60 days.

Why would you set a reminder 60 days in advance when the frequency is once a month?

Just as a test, to see if it was date dependant. i assume that doing so means anything in the next 60 days would show up. I've already issued several paychecks in December, and was expecting to see a reminder to pay IRS in january. But nothing shows up.

Look at the Company Preferences Tab for reminders to see which events trigger a reminder. You will notice that payroll tax liabilities is not on the list. Find one that is, and use it to accomplish your task.
