Using QB 2004 5 User, the Ctrl-F search feature is starting to not find documents. For example, I have one vendor who we have done 12 POs to, but search on Purchase Order with that vendor's name finds three of those POs, and they are old ones. Advanced search on the same vendor name, no other qualifiers, misses maybe 40% of all transaction types for the vendor.
Would this behavior indicate just a corrupted index, or something more serious? What steps should I take to correct and then retest?
