Another Request for Help with a Report

I am using Q 2007 Deluxe, a HP C7280 printer and W XP. When I want to print a Quicken Report the Print screen comes up and I select 2 copies and click on Print. Yet only one copy is printed. I do not have this problem when I request multiple copies from MS Word. Anyone out there have any idea to help me? Thanks for any and all help.

FWIW, and I don't mean to start a whole thread of 'me toos', I have the same problem with my HP laser printer 1320 but NOT with my HP deskjet. What type of printer is the HP C7280? If we're lucky, it's a laser, and maybe that's a common starting point to isolate the problem.

(I've had this on my laser for a number of years; I've always chalked it up to a Quicken 'quirk', but now that you've complained about it, perhaps we can work on isolating the problem and submitting a bug report to fix.

Have you checked the Quicken forums? I'm too lazy to check right now but I recall several HP Printer problems mentioned.

re/"I'm too lazy ..."

Me too! That's why I never bothered in the past as THIS one I can live with. I just print multiple times on the (for me) rare occasions I want more than one printout. But now I am motivated because of OP post.

If I get over my laziness, maybe tonight!

I sent Intuit a note, received some information about running some tests. Quick turn around.

If the tests 'work' ("Quicken and the original printer driver are facing compatibility issues."), then they tell me: "We can resolve this compatibility conflict by adding an additional printer driver with a smaller model number. The new driver can be used inside Quicken for printing. " So we will see what happens when I have more time tonight to play with this.

Thanks for the update, let us know the results.

I agree it's very fast response from Intuit!

R6 for my Q2009P was applied today automatically upon startup, and my lack of multiple print copies problem seems to have been solved. There were a number of print issues addressed in R6 I saw, although when I read them before applying the patch, it didn't seem like any were addressing the specific problem.

trvlnmny - can you post your experiences if you apply maintenance to your version of Q assuming Q2007 is running a similar patch in your maintenance stream?

(And gee, I just realized I too am having the Q splash screen come up with the previous year's Quicken version too - I remember reading something like that recently in this forum -- something else to go investigate....)

OK - thanks - well, hopefully they'll apply the same fix to your 2007 version if it is applicable. Assuming you are able to automatically pick up the maintenance, you might see this issue fixed. As far as I can tell, again, it has for me in the most recent maintenance patch that I received a few days back.
