Bank Logo on Spash Screen

Jun 23, 2006 3 Replies

When I crank up Q2005, it shows a bank logo in the upper left corner of the Quicken splash screen. Every time I add a new account, it replaces the old bank logo with the logo for the bank of the most recently added account. All of these logos are SPLASH.BMP files in c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\Quicken sub-folders. How do I choose which bank logo I want to show up on the Quicken startup splash screen?

You could try looking at the value for "Splash" in "[MarketingMessages]" in:

\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\Quicken\Config\Quicken.ini

But if Quicken has logic to change that "Splash" value each time you add a new account, you may have to keep changing Quicken.ini each time you add a new account.

John,

Thanks for the info! Worked like a charm. I just prefer to see my primary bank's logo, and that's the way it now is. I don't add accounts all that often, so it should stay in place. If not, its now easy to correct.

Thanks again!

George

Thanks John I was wanting to remove a prior banks branding as well and it worked like a charm.

However Q Premier 2006 has not picked up on the Direct Connect access with my new bank, BB&T. I have gotten the impression, from the OP's follow up post, that is what happened/(is supposed to happen). However in my case it did not. Does the branding come from the FI, or Quicken/Intuit? I download daily and after your reply of the 23rd, Quicken has not picked up the new FI.

Kind of odd, someone asking how to activate ads in Quicken. ;-)
