Category report impossible to use

Quicken 2010 revision 10 Exasperating expense report.

I made a simple category report for a given tag and category and would you believe it's nearly impossible to jigger the columns so the all-important dollar amounts appear in the right-most column? -They are nowhere to be seen. Quicken has taken the luxurious step of using up one whole column with the bloated entry "schedule E: management fees" (how about Sch. E-fees) And there is 2 inches of wasted white space to the left of the date in the first column. So far I have been unable to deal with this. Each time I open up Q10 there is a big billboard asking me to update to Q11. I'm sorry I moved to Q10. Since I already have the latest revision I will have to rely on my friends for real help. Hi, John.

I don't use Quicken's reports very much, so others can give you a lot more details than I can. But, in my few reports, I can adjust the column widths by using my mouse to drag the column separators at the top of the report. Have you tried that?

I'm using Quicken 2011, but as I recall, that method has worked for several years. It doesn't work everywhere in Quicken, but in many places it does.
