The basic complaint is that using "Enter/New" (instead of "Enter/Done") to enter multiple investment transactions in a row, creates transactions that do not display the cumulative number of shares for the security involved.

This does appear to be a bug, relatively recently introduced. It appears in R45.7 but not in R43.26.

But what the Community Discussion posters fail to realize is that the actual transactions are correct and the share balance has been accurately updated: the transactions just don't display correctly in the investment Transaction List. See an Investment Transaction report or a Portfolio Value report to verify.

What the Community posters also fail to realize is that it is not necessary to Edit each new investment transaction entered via Enter/New to correct the investment Transaction List display.

All that is necessary is to either use the keyboard up/down arrow keys to temporarily change which is the "current" transaction in the Transaction List; or to click in any clickable heading to temporarily re-sort the Transaction List. It couldn't be easier.

Bottom line: while this certainly appears to be a bug, it is a trivial bug whose minor incorrect Transaction List display effect is easily corrected.
