Installation disaster!

Jun 24, 2005 3 Replies

Hi everyone,

I installed Quicken 05, and there was a glitch that said I should re-install. So I started to, and got a message "detected previous version of Quicken, please delete." So I did and started again. But that same message still comes up, even though I removed every trace of Quicken from the system! So now I have no Quicken at all.

Any ideas would be *really* appreciated, thanks!

Jim

Sometimes the windows installer becomes corrupted. Try this to clean up the old installation:

If that doesn't work, try looking in the Intuit site for instructions on how to manually remove Q.

If other suggestions don't work, try using the Windows "rollback" function to restore your system to its exact state prior to the aborted installation. Then try to re-install.
