I'm running 2k6 Basic. I have transactions for a particular stock from different brokerage accounts beginning in 1999 up through today. The stock transactions are listed by order of account rather than by transaction date. Can I get them to be displayed by Transaction date regardless of which account they are in?

First, what is a 2k6 Basic? Second, exactly what steps did you take to get where you are, exactly what are you seeing, exactly what do you expect to see. You don't make clear in your message if you're talking about the Register view, or a report.

....I assume that's Quicken 2006 (2+1000+6) .
The "Security Detail View" referenced in the subject is a screen display one gets when pulling down the 'INVESTING' pull down menu.
Now, what I can't seem to do is find how to make the screen (or the REPORT you can generate and supposedly customize) do what the OP wishes. Maybe others know?
I don't think you can customize the Security Detail View, and I don't think you can get any Investment report to show transactions strictly by date.
Try the Banking > Transaction report. Select only, and all, Investment accounts. Select the security in question. Sort by Date/Account.
