just out of curiosity - how did you get your typing to word wrap into a narrow column ?

Do the d/l into a new account. After balance matches delete old one.

Thanks, RC. I hadn't thought of that, and your guess is likely to be right. But my point remains: it;'s easy for any of us to do it if we should want to.

Thinking of that some more, I just remembered that I had looked at his headers, and his message was sent with Thunderbird. So it would appear that your guess isn't right.

But I know very little about cell phones. They don't use Thunderbird, do they?

Then, again, Ken...SOME people do things such as dicking around with line length, just because THEY can!

Here's my take - as always, YMMV; keep the same account and deal with the duplicates/loads of d/ls. It should be just a one time, "set up" type of thing.

I sure wouldn't do it that way. Most of the transactions either should match, and/or the OP can simply delete the downloaded ones that he knows aren't currently outstanding. At the very end of his initial working with the transactions, he can make a manual entry to balance the *same* cc account if he wishes to (or, hopefully, if he even needs to).

Hopefully the next d/w will only be new transactions the Q has never seen before.

As always, make a backup before doing any major surgery.
