Q'05 Billminder Woes

Anyone else having problems running Billminder from Quicken 2005 Premier under Win XP Pro/SP2? I thought seeing reminders of transactions due when starting up my laptop (Dell Latitute D800) would be a good idea, so I tried running Billminder. Not only did it come up with an incorrect scheduled transaction. Worse, it totally interfered with my touchpad, so that it was impossible to move the cursor at all except by using extreme pressure on the pad. I had to remove it manually from my startup folder and run System Restore to get normal cursor movement back. For obvious reasons I don't want to risk it again unless someone else can explain how to fix this issue if it arises. Thanks.

You have not provided any information to help diagnose this problem.

Hardly likely that billminder is really the cause of this; more likely is the device driver has a problem - check with Dell for newer device driver. I have run billminder from several different Quicken versions (thru 2005) on two different pc's - one of them my Dell laptop - none has ever created this kind of problem (or any problem). [Actually, I have not seen any evidence that billminder has been modified for any version of Quicken since about 200].

That should have read, "... since about 2000]".

Nuts, you caught me. Yes, I remember the Q200 version well; came with digital memory (instructions for counting on your fingers) for simple math, an integrated abacus for more complicated calculations, and a quill pen and free scoll of papyrus for reporting.

So, there were REALLY no appreciable upgrades between Q200 and the first DOS version.
