Q 2007 H&B, data missing

I use Q 2007 with multi currency support. I have a bank account in Can. Dollars.

I entered 20 or 30 direct debit transactions in the account for the period Dec. 2006 / Jan. 2007. weeks later, I reconciled the account with the Bank's statement. Including each and everyone of the direct debit items I had entered.

Now I cannot find any of those direct debit entries. NOT ONE! [ It's as if, there's a filter that is 'hiding' all of those entries.] Other data for that period, like pension deposits, bank interest and bank charges are displayed.

What happened to all of that data I entered - reconciled data? How can I view the data? Where can I 'find' them?

Any help, advise, much appreciated.

Thanks. John Hewitt, Malaga, Spain

I assume you are aware that you *can* "filter" transactions in your Quicken account register? If you have told Quicken to "filter" the transactions in that register, you should see the filter conditions on the row above the headings for the register. If you "Close" the filter, filtered transactions should reappear.

The most frequent way that users "lose" date is to sort their register in a sequence other than by Transaction Date: the transactions are still in the register, but do not appear where exepected. Left click on the word "Date" in the heading row to insure that the register is sorted by Transaction Date. [Clicking on register headings generally sorts on that column, but other sequences are available: see the "View" register menu.]

Yes. But to be sure, I turned the filter on, looked, and then turned it back off and looked agin, No change.

Hmm, did that also. However my entries are kept in "date order".

You know, I am beginning to wonder.... About two months ago [I think], I found a reccomended upgrade to H&B2007 on the Quicken web site. I downloaded it and applied it to my program. Could that have caused this problem??? John Hewitt, Malaga, Spain

Have you tried running reports? For example, if one of the missing direct debits was a purchase from Home Depot, run a transaction report to include all dates with Payee as Home Depot. If the missing debit appears on the report, you can track it down.
