Stay with Q2006 until after the first maintenance update comes out for Q2007. Too many problems with the Q2007 initial release.

I for one have had zero problems that I can remember with the initial release. Not that it isn't a bad idea not to be on the 'bleeding edge' of software, but so far, I've found Q2007 to be very stable.

Based on my following of this ng, I'd have to say that this is the least "whining and moaning" that I've ever seen for a Q upgrade.... I can't agree with the"too many problems" comment....

I can't disagree, though with the advise to wait for the first upgrade. Or get it when TTAX comes out and buy it at Staples the first week....

You know Hank, I was going to say that as well; it is indeed quite noticeable in terms of not hearing the amount of moaning and groaning (no editorial comments about whether they were justified - each person has to decide that on their own).

But, you know, I wonder if that is simply because this is the least amount of new features that I think I've ever seen put into a new release of Q, and Intuit I believe has stated they spent more effort in 'cleaning things up' in the code base. And if that is true, makes sense.

I have another theory; the worst whiners have concentrated their efforts in the newer Intuit Forums.

Well, I have 2 gigs of RAM in a 2.5MHz machine, and I routinely get the "out of memory" error when I go online to get updated transactions. Happens at least 2x/week.

Mark,

Don't take my comment(and other comments in this thread) to mean that there aren't any problems with Q07. This problem is certainly a significant one and definitely a reason to seriously consider waiting for the first "Service Pack".....
