Every time I close Quicken (and backup to a flash drive), my toolbar disappears. The next time I use Q, I have to click "show icons and text" to get it back. Is there a cure for this?

Yes, uncheck the "Maximize my register" in the Quicken preferences for the register.
Who wooda thunk. "Maximize" effects a size change, but it also changed content. Ouch. Thanks for the cure.
