Q12 check writing?

Dec 13, 2011 3 Replies

With Q10 or maybe Q11 came a bug: If you have a check register open and click on the checkbook icon, it sets up to let you input the date, amount, etc. The only trouble is that the check is written on some random checking account, not the one you have open right in front of you!

Can anybody with Q12 verify that this has been fixed. TIA

I don't use that feature, but when I do put the checkwriting and printing icon up on the toolbar, and click it with my main checking account register open, it will use that account as default. Moreover, there is a handy- dandy dropdown menu to switch to another account.

I just enter the info for a new check into the register directly. Of course I never print checks from Quicken.

Sorry, but this doesn't answer my question. Thanks for trying to help.

Don't know about Q10 or Q11because I usually enter transactions right in thr register. I checked Q12 and If you open a register and then gp to tools, write check the check template pops up and the account is the one you had open but there is a drop down box if you want to change it. Seems OK to me,
