OK now that INTUIT in all of its infinite wisdom has eliminated the QIF file imports from all of my banking and investing accounts it appears that its going to cost me at least $20 or more per month to down load my account information, or I will have to input every transaction in manually. Does anyone have a recommendation on some other software that will still allow these downloads. Does MONEY still allow the old style downloads??? Don S

Why is it going to cost $20/month?
The banks want to charge 3.95 per month to allow the connection to the accounts under the new system, I deal with 3 banks 2 brokerage's and 3 credit cards. 8x3.951.60. I don't know if they all charge the same thing, and I don't think i care. I will have to take another approach as I am against paying tribute to the damn dictators. Don S
If I've ever seen a cogent argument for consolidating one's financial affairs, this was it. :D
FWIW, I pay $0 for direct connect and web connect to all the FIs that I deal/dealt with, I guess it is the luck of the draw. I have one FI that is still QIF but they say they're working on something more advanced and hope to roll it out "real soon now".
When my bank threatened me with fees for Quicken downloads I told them no problem. I did some research, contacted other banks and found several that did not charge fees. I went back to my bank and said transfer all my accounts. After about 4 calls by the person I was dealing with, I had all my fees for Quicken downloads waived.
The important thing to remember when doing this is be ready to actually move your money.
