I ran behind updating my account data using Quicken 2005, so thought I'd catch-up while off for the holidays. Last update was Sept 2005.
Tried using the global update button at the top of the screen. Tried it with and without account info as part of the download. The download stays on "connecting" forever. Tried it several times, including before and after manually installing R5 and let it run once for over a half hour and it never budged from "connecting." When I click on "Stop Update," the entire Quicken app hangs and I have to go into Task Manager to terminate it.
I also tried to update 3 individual accounts (T Rowe Price, Vanguard, and my credit union) with same results.
I did not have this problem last September. I suspected that Zone Alarm might be causing the problem, so I ensured that Quicken Launcher and QWPatch were Trusted and Allowed.Same result. I can't safely totally disable Zone Alarm for several days because of other family members' PCs hooked to my LAN.
Help plz!
