Let me just start off by saying I appreciate what you do here and am not looking for confrontation. I've been a Quicken user since 1994 and I've submitted nasty feedback to Quicken as well at good feedback (prior to
2000). I could live with the life cycle however Q2008 is s*it after using all the other previous versions. The older versions were great, specifically Q2001 and down. You paid your bills and downloaded your quotes and you were done. There was none of this "Blue Star" rate your payee nonsense and little annoying advertisements links. We went though something a little different when Q2000 was being phased out. We were entertaining the thought of buying the current version but it was being reported the current release (of that time) had some issues. I posted our concerns here and you actually suggested to us to look for a 01 or 02 version because the older versions weren't experiencing the issues. In so many words you also suggested the older version were leaner than the newest release. So that's what we did, we purchased both Q01 & Q02 off eBay since there are two users in our household. When those versions got phased out we both went to Q2005 and that's when the bloatware began, not like Q2008 but it was there. IMO Q2008 is the worst one yet. I don't like the fact it's bloated and the program is continually connected to the web polling for advertisements plus it's just not as lean as the older versions. For me the main issue is the bloated software, I'm past the lifecycle issue. OK so I'm stuck with it until at least until 2009 and as long as that is my biggest problem things are going very well.
