Quicken 2009 installs but won't launch

Hi, Pam.
That OUGHT to work. But, of course, you knew that.
When I get to this point in installing Quicken, I "bail out" and do NOT click the "Launch Quicken" button. As I recall, for Q2009 I just UNchecked that box and then clicked Done. Then I browse to my Quicken folder and click on my RC.QDF file. It starts my new Quicken with my data file loaded.
What happens when you try this?
I'm using Vista, but the same technique worked when I was running WinXP with previous Quicken versions.

Did you try right-clicking setup.exe (or install.exe) and electing to "Run as" THE "Administrator"? Regardless of the capabilities of your Windows user?

I never could find the article in the kb (or ANYTHING useful from Quicken), but I did find some other references on the web to a conflict between Eudora and Q'09. I run Eudora 4.3 (yes, that old). I uninstalled Quicken, changed the Eudora setting (tools -> options -> MAPI) to never "Use Eudora MAPI server" and reinstalled Quicken, which reinstalled the .dll Quicken wants. It now works for me. YMMV.

I had the same issue with Quicken 2009 and Eudora.
All I had to do was make the changes to the mapi32.dll and Eudora options and now I have Quicken 2009 working on my laptop.
