Quicken Home Inventory

Anyone know if Quicken Home Inventory will run on a Windows 7 OS. It came with a version of Quicken I purchased when I was running a XP box. Now I keep getting - Unknown error Quicken Home Inventory will now close. This when I try to run it on my Windows 7 machine

The versions that came with QD2010 and QD2011 work just fine with Win 7, but they apparently need to be installed separately after you install the main program.

No Joy

Every time I try to run it I get an Windows error message saying it can't run QHIM.exe

I uninstalled the beast, rebooted. Downloaded and reinstalled. Same error message.

The Quicken Home Inventory application (the one that has been a part of Quicken for at least 10 years) is QHI.EXE. As noted here (and other places), QHI.EXE should run in Windows 7.

If you have the stand alone Intuit product, Quicken Home Inventory Manager, it does not appear to be supported for Win 7 or any 64 bit os (based on product info at Intuit's web site). And I believe that Intuit has confirmed this in the Live Community, though I can't find the post at the moment.

This is a future bummer. Do they provide any way to reasonably export the information in the app?

Just going by memory here; I don't think there is any way to do that. Maybe someone with the product has discovered otherwise and can chime in.
