I see many posts about problems with downloading quotes but wonder if there are multiple unrelated factors. In my case (and I'm not sure if the fact that I live in Canada is significant) I can get quotes most times I try but (since sometime in November) frequently get the message "Error 1760. The server is unable to complete the request. Please try again later." Sometimes even when this occurs I still get quotes. I'm not sure if Intuit is to blame for this because at the bottom of the window it says "Online quotes by S&P Comstock". However since I purchased Quicken from Intuit I think they are ultimately responsible. I have called Comstock before (1 800 431 2602 x446) when I have had problems and they seemed cooperative but they are just a company that services many quote download services and have no clue who Intuit is. And of course if you try to call Intuit they want to charge you and would probably point the finger at Comstock anyway. If this continues (I've read that the problem will be corrected tomorrow) I think maybe a petition to Intuit might be appropriate.
