Some reports report, some reports don't

[Quicken Deluxe 2015 on Vista Ultimate SP2 32bit]

Suddenly some reports fail to execute - if that's the right word - while ot hers run well and immediately. This is true for standard reports on list as well as customized reports I've saved. Makes no difference is I ask for re port or for graph (when that option is available). There seems to be no rhy me or reason as to which do and don't.

I have rebooted, walked away & come back, and whistled a couple of choruses of some tune in my head while changing positions in my chair. No dice....

Kidding aside, anyone here encounter something like this? If so, how to get the "lazy" reports to run again?

Thanks.

We can't re-create your customized reports, but why don't you name some of the standard reports that you're claiming don't work ... so others can test the situation? Except for the "business function specific reports", all of your Deluxe rep orts are identical (and use the same code) as their counterparts in my Q 20

15, H&B ... so it would be very easy to test your claim ... or to determine that there's an issue OTHER than "lazy reports".

Good idea, Dan. Sorry I was a bit rattled and didn't ID the standard report s at issue. While for the moment I used brute force (I re-created the two c ustom reports I immediately needed), I will go back and ID the standard rep orts that didn't run. Give me a couple of days breather and I will post fin dings.

Well, as promised I'm back. In a more calm fashion I went through every rel evant standard report making changes to dates and customizing some. They al l ran. Found on saved customized reports which I hadn't run in a long time that after choosing to run despite other categories etc having been added i n the meantime, the reports took a while to get to the message window "Scan ning past transactions" - if I recall correctly - then took further time to actually run the reports. I closed Qkn after one report hanging in the "Sc anning" mode for a long time.

Sorry to bother y'all about this and appreciate cool minds like Dan who mad e me stop, think and retest.
