Time to give up?

I had a Quicken Mastercard so I could do direct download into quicken. That card got bought by Traveller's visa. That got bought by Citibank Visa. That got bought by Fleet Financial.

Since I couldn't do direct downloads anymore, I ordered a Suntrust Visa, since I already have accounts with them. Quicken's website said Suntrust does do direct download. Well, what arrived wasn't a Suntrust Visa, it was a Fleet Finanicial Visa, which does NOT do direct download.

Then I got a First USA visa, that got bought by Bank One. Yesterday, my Bank One Visa got bought by Chase Financial.

Do they make a credit card with a blank face so you can write in the bank-of-the-day with a grease pencil?

I have a Quicken Mastercard, got it when it was owned by Traveller's. Then it got bought by Citibank. According to the web site, it's still Citibank, and my direct downloads still work. The whole marketing thing behind the Quicken Mastercard is that it does direct downloads.... I've heard nothing about Fleet Financial buying the Quicken Mastercard from Citibank and terminating direct downloads. What's up?

BTW, I also have an Amazon.Com VISA that says Bank One, but is doing direct downloads via First USA. (I also log into a First USA web site to make payments on the few occasions I use this card.)

Margaret

My parents opened an account back in the 80s with Nationals Bank in Florida. They rarely use the account so they have several checks left. After numerous buy-outs the bank is now BoA. I asked at the bank the other day if the checks were okay and they said yes. Account number has never changed in all of the buy-outs.

Wasn't Fleet Financial part of the BoA deal?

All my cards supplied by citibank direct download.

My Wachovia card direct downloads via wachovia, even though its really an MBNA (now BA I suppose) card. But MBNA doesn't support direct download. So if your card is from > I have a Quicken Mastercard, got it when it was owned by Traveller's. Then
