WebConnect Express doesn't work

Anyone else having any problems? All my webconnect FIs no longer download with the CC-899 error. My guess is that some common site that WebConnect uses for all FIs is not handling a secure connection properly but that's just a guess.

Well, I guess I can reply to my own question... since the December 11th Windows update, if TLS 1.2 is turned on in IE settings, Web Connect Express won't form a secure connection with the server thus effectively failing downloads for all FIs that use this. However, turning off TLS 1.2 Advanced option bypasses the problem.

I had the same problem with Express Web connect and Capital One. Unchecked TLS 1.2 and now it works okay. Don't know how TLS 1.2 got checked to begin with since the default is unchecked.

TLS is supposed to automatically fall back if it doesn't work with the latest version. I'm not sure why we have to disable TLS 1.2 globally for Quicken to work unless Quicken isn't recognizing the failure with 1.2 to fall back to an earlier version. In any case, I filed a support request with Quicken - but until they address this, the workaround works for me :-)
