I have been unable to use One Step Update with usbank.com for several months now. The CC-501 error says something about a Quicken server error. I opened a tech support case and they said "well, it's a server issue on our side, we're working on it" but no further detail. My guess is that the support drone was reading the same information I had on screen and had no actual knowledge of the true cause of the problem.
Anyone else having problems (or success) with One Step Update as usbank.com?

Jeff:
I have an REI Visa Signature managed by USBank. No problems with OSU for me. Have you tried de-activating and re-activating downloads?

Countless times. Actually the error comes when trying to set up OSU. I should have mentioned that before...

I believe the CC-501 error is typical of problems with "Express Web Connect" (the ability to use One Step Update with accounts that offer only Web Connect downloads).
I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about it, though I think you should try making sure the account is not activated, then initiating a download from the fi's web site.
If the problem is due to MFA (multi-factor authentication), you may be out of luck. Some of the security techniques used for MFA are incompatible with (and actually designed to prevent) "screen scraping" which is what Express Web Connect uses.
Intuit had the misfortune to attempt to introduce their screen scraping offering just about the time financial institutions were getting more serious about security. I think that Money ("Yodlee") is having the same problems.

Funny, though...Quicken Online and Mint.com have no such problems. Both download just fine from almost all banks and credit cards.
Too bad both software products are pathetic...but the downloading parts work better than in Quicken.

Too bad you didn't develop any useful insights when you decided to post in this newsgroup.

And as usual, you really added nothing more to the discussion, aside from showing all what an ass you really are. Tell us John, what insight did YOU offer in that post?
I just made the observation that Quicken Online downloads transactions much better and is more reliable than Quicken desktop. But that Quicken Online is a pathetic excuse for software.
Seems like Intuit should be able to translate downloading transactions from one venue to another, without the misconstrued Express Web Connect venture that is a disaster for most users. Even Mint.com downloads flawlessly from my bank accounts and credit card accounts. But that, too, is a pathetic excuse for software. At least Mint is free. Intuit has the gall to charge $3 a month for that garbage.
BTW, I can see why they kicked you out of the Quicken Community Forum. You're still as vile as ever. Do you really get that much enjoyment spewing venom on these forums? Pity too, because you really know your stuff. Too bad you are too full of yourself to even respect another's opinion or point of view. Or do you just hate it when others have something else to say?

And you still make the same uninformed comments you always made. I wasn't kicked out of the Quicken forums, and we both know you don't have a shred of evidence that I was: I chose to stop posting ... 100% my own choice. You're just exercising your ignorant wishful thinking. No regular responder comes close to making the number of incorrect/misleading posts as you ... and you never learn. This is just another typical incorrect gmalis statement.
