3 Register Licence

I have a licence for 3 registers...I have two set up in the front, and in the back office is the 3rd, also acting as the server. How difficult would it be to install the software on a different computer, have it act as the server and bring register 3 out onto the floor? Having all of my info go to the new back office computerl, and have the computer in the back office acting as the server?

Your Metrologic should be plug and play if it is USB. Just plug it in and open Notepad. Grab anything that has a barcode on it and scan it in Notepad. What should happen is the number will be entered and the cursor will go to the next line.

For you printer goto

and download the windows driver for your printer. Once setup you can goto the properties of your printer and have the Drawer1 kick open. This will kick open on every receipt that is printed. The only other option is OPOS but I personally prefer the Windows drivers.

got the printer setup, but how do I tell rms that I have a scanner and a card reader or is automatic and I dont have to set them up in RMS? boy this system is really not easy to setup is it?

That's correct, you don't have to tell RMS that you have the MSR or Scanner.

"boy this system is really not easy to setup is it?" Actually an experienced RMS Partner could have done all this plus installed the software, created your initial DB and got you creating items in a half an hour. That's where the value of dealing with the right Partner comes in.
