Barcode Printer Recommendations?

I have experience with the Cognitive Barcode Blaster and the Zebra LP2824, although have not had much experience within RMS. Looking for recommendations on both the hardware and ease of designing/printing barcodes with RMS.

Thanks,

Kinnard

We use the Zebra LP2844 with RMS here. It takes a little while to get a logo format that works, as you have to pretty much right a program in notepad, but once that was done for the first site we just set up three standard label sizes and used those for subsequent sites. I have found them to be quick, easy to use and reliable printers.

Hope this helps.

We were set up with an Argox A-200 that has worked very well. It handles labels up to 4" wide, but we use a very small label (1"x.5") and it works just fine. One comment: I found that some label sizes were available only in large quantity (seemed like our 1x.5 wasa custom size) for this printer. Checking on that first might be something worth doing.

Love my Zebra LP2824. Changed my life after switching from Avery 5160 labels on an inkjet.

We've done 170+ installations with the Zebra LP2824 (or earlier generation) using 1"x1" 2-up labels and butterfly labels. The 2844 is a wider version (4") of the same model. It's a great, reliable printer. It's a direct thermal printer so labels will fade under heat or direct sunlight. They make a thermal transfer version of the printer also. We used the RMS label designer to create the label designs.
