Automatic tender

Hello all, I just started working at a liquor store, and we just got setup on the RMS. We got the system up and running just fine but there is one last thing that we would like to customize. After an items barcode is scaned you have to press "enter" so that the item will be added to the list for a given transaction. We were wondering if there is anyway that we can skip this step so that the item will just be added automatically instead of having to press the "enter" button for each item scanned for any one transaction.

Any ideas on how one would go about getting that done?

Andrew, it varies by manufacturer and model. Read your program/setup manual and / or call the manufacturer or distributor support dept.

Program the scanner for a carriage return. Go to the website of the scanner manufacturer. Print out the programming manual. Scan the barcodes that set it for a carriage return or enter.

Andrew,

This is not an RMS issue, it's just the scanner configurations, u have to program your scanner so that it sends an "Enter" code (ascii 13)

There has to be a way to do this through the POS software... I am not having a whole lot of luck finding any information and neither was technical support for HP.
