Barcode scanner issue in POS v2.0

This problem may be with either the scanner or the software. When I scan an item's barcode, the correct barcode enters the item number field but I have to hit "Enter" to place the item on the sales transaction. I believe the item should automatically be added to the sale.

Is this a POS software configuration issue or a scanner configuration issue?

You need to program a carriage return at the end of the scan. This can be done with almost all scanners by scanning a sequence of barcodes in the device manual.

Also, if are referring to MS POS 2.0 and not RMS 2.0, make sure you select the device under register properties. It's a common mistake for users not to select a wedge device, since RMS doesn't require this. In MS POS 2.0, you should always select your device whether it's wedge, USB HID, or OPOS.

Thank you! The device was registered properly but I needed to program it to add a carriage return after each scan. That worked great!
