Just set up a Symbol barcode scanner and when I scan an item it comes up but it doesn't enter and move to the next line, therefore, I'm having to scan and then hit Enter on my keyboard before scanning the next item. Any thoughts?

We also use symbol scanners with our POS, we have the LS1902 cobra scanner.
The scanner needs to be programmed to add the enter key as a suffix after the barcode is scanned. How to program it depends on what model of scanner you have. There should be a configuration manual that came with your scanner. You configure the scanner by scanning different configuration barcodes that make changes to the settings depending on which one you scan. Otherwise call symbol tech support and they will walk you through configuring the scanner.
