Symbol LS9100

I am having trouble setting up the symbol ls9100 to use PS2. I have the correct equipment (sti-80-200, 24-11497-03, and the powercable) the ps2 wedge is in place but when i scan a barcode in a text program (notepad) nothing appears. I have scanned the set all defaults barcode in the set up instructions and messed with several others but I can't get anything to work. HELP!

Umm...working from memory here...

I think I got some symbol scanners working by:

a) reboot computer b) set defaults c) set keyboard wedge d) someother setting, I think adding carriage return at the end (up to you if you want it)

and I think that was it. The codes should all be in the book that came with the scanner.

Thanks but it still didnt work, ended up calling symbol. There is a another set of programing barcodes just for the synapse, had to set defaults on scanner, set defaults on synapse, scan ibm pc/at, scan enable ls9100 communication, scan options, date suffix, enter, convernt upc-e to upc-a. Everything works great! Thanks for your help!

If it's like mine you have to set it for IBM PC/AT keyboard emulation as the default is ASCII I think...
