Plug you scanner into your computer and test the scanner by opening Notepad and scan anything that has a barcode. It should enter the number and go to the next line. If it does you have successfully setup your scanner.

Have you tried scanning any of the configuration barcodes in the Configuration Guide? If so, try scanning the Factory Default barcode. Then test scan any barcode into NOTEPAD.

keyboard wedge?

What type of connection does your scanner use? USB, Keyboard, Serial?

The USB versions are plug and play.

The Keyboard Wedge version is Plug and play AS LONG AS you have a PS/2 keyboard plugged into the Wedge part of the cable. If you try to use a KB Wedge scanner and a USB keyboard you will get very similar results to what you have posted...

With the USB or KB Wedge versions, you should NOT configure anything for the scanner in the register properties in RMS.

I've never used the serial versin (RS-232), but I believe that you have to set that one up with OPOS drivers and configure it in RMS...
